Closeup of the agave plants thick green spiked leaves. There are many types of agave, that used to make sweetener and probably the most famous of the agaves is the Blue Agave, native to Jalisco, Mexico used to make tequila. You will find agave in its many forms all throughout the drier climates of the south. Beautiful in its simplistic form.
