The Alhambra set on the foothills of the in Granada, Spain was so named because of its reddish walls. Translated it mean Red Castle. From its hilltop location you see over the city below and the meadow that lies beyond.
It was not until the 13th century that the first king of the Nasrid dynasty arrived. That event marked a very wonderful period for the Alhambra. The Alhambra which had fallen into disrepair over the centuries was reinforced & water was brought in through canals. The architecture is stunning with numerous water features kept in perfect condition for us to enjoy even today. One fountain is in the Courtyard of the Lions. You can also find that here in my gallery.
In a world filled with constant noise & distractions, I find solace in the simple things in life & the unspoiled beauty of nature. A way to connect with the Earth and find inner peace. I hope to leave behind a legacy of my love for nature through my photography, hoping to inspire others to find their own sense of solitude in the beauty of the world that surrounds them. Through my art, I invite you to slow down, breathe in the simple beauty and recognize the deep sense of tranquility that the natural world offers. This is your invitation to make those connections, and in doing so find a deeper sense of peace & purpose in life. My Website I work with my husband Timo, traveling and photographing our journey along the way....
