Artist's Description
It had been awhile since I got up early to shoot the sunrise over the Atlantic in Florida. I jumped out of bed, grabbed my gear and got in my car. My car was a little wet, but it's Florida, it can sprinkle and then be sunny in minutes, not a big deal. It hadn't rained in weeks so I didn't even think to check the weather. It was still dark when I arrived at my location the beach, the Atlantic side of Florida.
Got out my camera & tripod, with a little bit of mist falling I put my camera under my windbreaker. As the sun began to rise on the horizon, I could begin to see that this was a real storm, not just some misty morning. I snapped a few pics and then was forced to run for shelter because I was not prepared for rain and it rained hard, with wind blowing the water sideways, so even under the shelter I was getting wet and cold.
