Description
This lioness lets us watch her new lion cub as she watched us very closely. You could feel her piercing eyes on us as her little one explored. We had been on safari on the border of Kruger National Park for a couple of days exploring the wild. There was wildlife everywhere, but this pride of lions had been elusive. It was our final morning and last opportunity when someone spotted a streak of gold in the tall green grass. It was a small family, 2 males, a female and the new cub. The males barely ever stood up, but this mama dealt with this little guy with such patience and tenderness. It was a beautiful, tender moment.
