I love White Sands National Park in New Mexico and it is quite something to see at sunset. It had been years since we last visited White Sands and I was so looking forward to photographing it again. Unfortunately half our trip across the US was overshadowed by the smoke from the fires in the Southwest in 2020.
Waiting for the sunset we decided to take a short hike up into the lower sand dunes to look at some of the flora that grows there. On our way out we walked through the meadow I guess you would call it and the wild grass which was taller than most everything else was glowing with the last rays of the setting sun. The wood rail fence was a nice added focal point. I don't think the smoke hurt this shot at all.......this time. I think it turned out really pretty and you can order it even it an oversized piece if you like.
In a world filled with constant noise & distractions, I find solace in the simple things in life & the unspoiled beauty of nature. A way to connect with the Earth and find inner peace. I hope to leave behind a legacy of my love for nature through my photography, hoping to inspire others to find their own sense of solitude in the beauty of the world that surrounds them. Through my art, I invite you to slow down, breathe in the simple beauty and recognize the deep sense of tranquility that the natural world offers. This is your invitation to make those connections, and in doing so find a deeper sense of peace & purpose in life. My Website I work with my husband Timo, traveling and photographing our journey along the way....
