This close up of lioness and cub walking in black and white was really closeup. Literally about 5 feet from the end of my camera lens. This little future lion king was just 6 weeks old and learning the the ropes from mama. There was a small pride of big cats on the Sabi Sands Game Reserve just outside the boundary of Kruger in South Africa. While on safari we were given the pleasure of this potentially fierce lioness to observe her and her cub on his first few days out. Experience of a lifetime.
For more pictures of these beautiful animals please take a look at our Lioness Pride collection.
In a world filled with constant noise & distractions, I find solace in the simple things in life & the unspoiled beauty of nature. A way to connect with the Earth and find inner peace. I hope to leave behind a legacy of my love for nature through my photography, hoping to inspire others to find their own sense of solitude in the beauty of the world that surrounds them. Through my art, I invite you to slow down, breathe in the simple beauty and recognize the deep sense of tranquility that the natural world offers. This is your invitation to make those connections, and in doing so find a deeper sense of peace & purpose in life. My Website I work with my husband Timo, traveling and photographing our journey along the way....
