Description
Monument Valley is likely the most majestic and photographed place on earth. This beautiful valley boasts sand stone buttes, each a master piece standing 400 to 1000 feet tall, the largest collection in the world some might argue. The buttes were formed over a gradual wearing away of the earth by wind, water and ice,
The first to inhabit this wonderful valley were the Anasazi Indians around 1200 BCE. The Navajo Nation was the first to establish themselves here in the 1920s.
