Description
The Notre Dame cathedral is one of the best examples of gothic architecture. Construction was begun in 1160 and was completed around 1260. Notre Dame is one of the most recognized symbols of the French and Paris itself.
Just a few short months after this picture was taken, while be restored the historical old building went up in flames on April 15, 2019. The fire burned for about 15 hours and the cathedral was severely damaged. So much history was lost.
Since the fire, time has been spent stabilizing the building with hope to restore it beginning in 2021. This black and white piece is available in oversized canvas and prints.
