Description
The best hike in Bryce Canyon is the Queen's Garden Loop. From above it is a spectacular view. We got up well before sunrise to stake out the perfect spot on Sunrise Point and watched the colors go from faint to awash with beautiful reds, oranges and yellows.
Bryce Canyon was once a lake and what we see today is what was below the surface of the water at one time. If you decide to hike down into the canyon you will be immersed in the jaw dropping beauty of the hoodoos towering above you. From Sunrise Point you can see 80 miles into the distance to the Navajo Mountains where the sun will rise.
Bryce Canyon has one of the largest collection of sandstone hoodoos in the world.
