Award Winning Under the San Clemente pier was taken "under' this iconic wooden pier. The surf was pounding on this warm summer day and the roar as the waves came crashing through the underside of the pier with significant force was deafening.
The beach was full of summer crowds as they played in the ocean, but under the pier, there was no one. It was like a moment all to myself. California has many piers and I have seen my share having been a California resident for most of my life. The San Clemente Pier is one of my favorites and this is one of my personal all time favorite images.
