Description
There is a certain softness in the warm and often very hot air in White Sands, New Mexico. It can not only be felt in the air, but it can be seen in the way the light hits the sand dunes in the late afternoon. The sunsets are spectacular. This yucca was spent after the long hot summer, but I just love the golden tones. Facing away from the sunset the sky was a beautiful palette of pinks, purples and blues.
There is also a version of this image picking up the blues and the purples that evening.
