Description
There is no shortage of wildlife in Africa that is for sure. One animal you must no miss when you go on safari is the wildebeest. These large herbivores move across the the African plains in large herds, you've seen them on TV I'm sure.
A wildebeest is a type of antelope, not a buffalo, also called gunes. Every year vast herds of wildebeest migrate across East Africa following the seasonal rains. A newborn wildebeest calf can walk on it's own in a matter of minutes after birth and in just a few days they are capable of overturning a lioness!
This beautiful animal is a blue wildebeest and in the color version of this image the blue was clearly visible down the front of his head and near his horns.
Enjoy all the magnificence of this beautiful animal as he is available in various sizes, but the most dramatic is the oversized art option.
