Description
One thing I have always known is that no matter how difficult things may be, no matter the loss, no matter the heartbreak, there is always beauty somewhere. The year 2020 has without question been one of the most tragic years in most of our lifetimes. But, still there is beauty.
This image was capture in October 2020 on Juno Beach, Florida, while we were all deep in this global pandemic. The year for our us personally had already been filled with disappointment, loss, tragedy & a move across the United States from California to Florida in late August 2020.
Coming from California where sunsets abound, a beautiful sunrise over the ocean is just something we never saw. Exhausted from the long haul I decided to get up early and take in the sunrise from the Florida coast over the Atlantic.
I waited in the warm, muggy dark morning with only the light of an occasional lightening strike. Slowly dawn broke into this beautiful soft color palette. Lightening continuing to flask through the towering cumulus clouds. The glow over the water illuminated the man fishing from the beach. Little birds running around, looking for their morning meal. How could I not be struck by such beauty?
Sometimes what is going on around us feels as if we will never survive the storm. We will, you will. Never lose hope. Try to look around and see the beauty as we all step into 2021.

You are so right, Rebecca! Nothing can soothe the human spirit like being immersed in nature! Teddy Roosevelt's mother and wife died on the same day. In despair, Teddy sought refuge in nature, and with the help of John Muir created the National Park System. Nature healed him and he wanted others to benefit from the beauty of nature! Congratulations! Your amazing image has been featured on the "Environmental Art - Specifically Ocean Conservation" home page! Thank you for supporting our group!

Lovely light and shades of purple in that sky, would've been nice to be that person fishing on the beach!
