Standing on high on the mountain in the Parque de Pena forest is the colorful Pena Palace or Palacio Nacional da Pena as it is known. A fantastic example of 19th century Romanticism architecture, vibrantly painted terraces, battlements and mythical statues contrasted by the lush green forest.
The palace was meticulously restored when the Portuguese nobility were forced to flee in 1910 during the Revolution.
In a world filled with constant noise & distractions, I find solace in the simple things in life & the unspoiled beauty of nature. A way to connect with the Earth and find inner peace. I hope to leave behind a legacy of my love for nature through my photography, hoping to inspire others to find their own sense of solitude in the beauty of the world that surrounds them. Through my art, I invite you to slow down, breathe in the simple beauty and recognize the deep sense of tranquility that the natural world offers. This is your invitation to make those connections, and in doing so find a deeper sense of peace & purpose in life. My Website I work with my husband Timo, traveling and photographing our journey along the way....
