Unique to New Mexico are Red Chile Ristras. In the Fall, the vibrant red color of fresh red chili ristras are hung everywhere. Maybe to add beautiful color through the long cold winters, but hanging from doors and from historic old adobes, it's another one of my favorite sights.
You may be familiar with Hatch Chiles, also from New Mexico.....a chili ristra is simply a Hatch chili that has turned red. Chile ristras are popular all throughout New Mexico but really a part of the Southwestern, New Mexico in and around Taos and Santa Fe.
We have 2 hanging at our home and they well proved wonderful color and a little spice to your meal too as they can be eaten from the time they are fresh to when they have dried out.
In a world filled with constant noise & distractions, I find solace in the simple things in life & the unspoiled beauty of nature. A way to connect with the Earth and find inner peace. I hope to leave behind a legacy of my love for nature through my photography, hoping to inspire others to find their own sense of solitude in the beauty of the world that surrounds them. Through my art, I invite you to slow down, breathe in the simple beauty and recognize the deep sense of tranquility that the natural world offers. This is your invitation to make those connections, and in doing so find a deeper sense of peace & purpose in life. My Website I work with my husband Timo, traveling and photographing our journey along the way....
