Description
All I can think of besides how beautiful these Sandhill Cranes are, is that they are standing there so perfectly just like Charlie's Angels. It's not often that you get wildlife to all look good at the same moment, but these four struck the pose. These birds are also very wild unlike others I have seen in Florida which from what I understand are local residents. They aren't particularly afraid of people. However, that is not the case with the Sandhill Cranes that migrate through New Mexico. These birds were on high alert and if not for my very long zoom, they would be much smaller because they were so far away. You move a foot closer and they move 10 feet further away.

Wonderful waterfowl composition! I also enjoyed reading about your experience of photographing them. These Sandhill cranes are definitely on high alert and you captured their postures and watchful attitude perfectly!
