Description
During mating season a Tri Colored Heron's bill and skin around the face will turn from a pale yellow to a cobalt blue and their yellow legs will become pink. All meant to attract a mate. This one was also doing some sort of dance which included stretching out his neck and clacking his beak making a repetitious noise.
Tri Colored Herons live in Florida and will commune in tree with multiple other species of birds. They are considered threatened in the state of Florida. So conservation is always important if we want to keep seeing these beautiful birds.
