Description
Whether you call it a tram, a trolley, a cable car, or a street car, if you have ever been to Lisbon, Portugal, you know what I am talking about. Lisbon's tramway system has been servicing residents and tourists since 1873. There are 6 routes now but there have been as many as 27 routes covering 47 miles. The most famous tram in #28 and passes through popular tourist destinations like Alfama, Baixa, Estrela and Graca sometimes along very narrow streets.
Since the trams are heavily used by the local Portuguese people of Lisbon, rush hour is a bad time to try to take a ride. Wait until everyone is done commuting and enjoy it then,
