Description
We had been in Florida for just a few weeks after moving across the United States, west coast to east during the pandemic in 2020. Honestly I will have to admit, I was not thrilled about being in Florida, it's just so flat and it is so hot and humid in September when we arrived.
When I finally decided to venture out in the heat to look around with Timo, he took me to his favorite place that he had discovered so far. As is typical this time of year in Florida, the sky was mostly filled with clouds, it was hit and miss when it came to sunshine. We stopped on a wooden bridge to take a look and see if we could spot any gators. No gators, but we got this view instead.
It was quiet, the water was still and dark, the air felt heavy and the vegetation was heavy too. It really was pretty, but not helping my mood. Then the clouds which you can clearly see their reflection on the water broke open for just a moment casting a golden light down river a bit where the sunlight could break through the deep wall of green.
It was a reminder that I needed at that moment. There is still beauty everywhere. As long as I remember that, life is good.
